I put this short audio segment together for my Radio Narratives class. I recorded a bus ride to the Marta Midtown station, and a train ride down to Five Points station in Downtown Atlanta. There’s some ambient sounds from the Midtown station and the bus stop in front of my apartment complex.

I’ve been taking an introductory course to media theory in school. We cover all the major players, from Marx to McLuhan, to Chomsky. The argument has been, traditionally, that media is in the hands of the few. That the media is in control of the message. That people don’t have access to media.
