Launch!!

Ok… I will admit it. The reason for this Blog is because I became insanely furious that espn.com’s page 2 had a plug for batgirl, a Minnesota Twins fan, who writes about her twinkies as if she were sitting down to have tea with them. No offense, and everyone is entitled to their own thing.
This plug came about the time when the Twins’ centerfielder, Torii Hunter, bulldozed the Sox’s Jamie Burke and finished our hopes for a 2004 playoff appearance by sweeping the four game series at the Cell.

This year, things are a tad different, a little poetic justice has landed Mr. Hunter on DL after hitting the wall – litterally – in Boston. The Twinkies, well, they don’t seem to understand why this time last year, they were 59-45, and five games up on the sox (53-49). While this year, the twinkies are 55-51 and 15.5, count ‘em, 15.5! games behind the sox and a half a game behind second-place Cleveland. Sorry Batgirl. Sox rule.
